During our performance of Noli Me Tangere, I played the role of Sisa, the mother of Basilio and Crispin. I was really nervous because it was mostly impromptu, I only memorized Sisa’s song. Everything else I had to follow on the spot, trying to keep up with the flow of the scene.
But once I started acting, I couldn’t even hear myself anymore. The words and actions of the scene blended together, and I just focused on being Sisa. Despite the nerves, I got completely immersed in the moment and gave everything I had to the performance.
